About PHGuides
PHGuides explains how Philippine government services actually work: what a process costs, what documents you need, how long it takes, and what commonly goes wrong. Every figure names the agency document it came from and the date it was checked.
Who publishes it
PHGuides is an independent publisher. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any government agency, bank, lender, insurer, recruitment agency or remittance company.
How the guides are made
Each guide starts from the agency's own published material and nothing else. The figures are copied, not paraphrased. The document, its URL and the date it was read are recorded, and the seal at the top of every guide shows that record to you. The full method is on How we verify.
How often it is updated
Guides are re-checked on a rolling cycle. Any guide not re-checked within180 days is marked stale on the page, automatically. The date on the seal is the date we last read the sources, not the date the page was edited.
Corrections
If a figure is wrong or out of date, email hello@phguides.com with the page. A confirmed error is corrected on the page, and the corrected page carries the new check date.
How the site is funded
PHGuides does not charge readers and does not sell anything. It is intended to be funded by advertising. When ads run they are labelled, they are never placed between a figure and its source, and advertisers have no say in what a guide says. We do not take payment to feature, rank or recommend any agency, product or service.
What we are not
We are not a government agency and not an agent for one. We cannot process an application, book an appointment, follow up on a claim or influence a decision, and we will never ask you to pay us for something an agency provides directly. For anything involving your own record or a live application, go to the agency. Every guide links to the right office.
