Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower publishes wages for over 500 occupations, drawn from its occupational wage survey. Nurses are two of them.
The figures below are June 2024, for full-time resident employees, and they exclude bonuses.
Registered nurses
MOM’s occupation label is “registered nurse and other nursing professional”, which takes in clinical nurses and nurse educators and excludes enrolled nurses.
| Percentile | Gross monthly wage | Basic monthly wage |
|---|---|---|
| 25th | S$4,261 | S$4,233 |
| 50th, the median | S$5,276 | S$5,212 |
| 75th | S$6,835 | S$6,668 |
The middle half of registered nurses sit between S$4,261 and S$6,835, a band of S$2,574 a month. That subtraction is arithmetic on the published figures.
What gross means here
MOM defines monthly gross wage as the basic wage plus overtime payments, commissions, allowances and other regular cash payments. It is not take-home pay, and it is not total annual earnings, because bonuses sit outside it.
The distance between gross and basic is what the extras are worth:
| Gross | Basic | Difference | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Registered nurse, median | S$5,276 | S$5,212 | S$64 |
| Registered nurse, 75th percentile | S$6,835 | S$6,668 | S$167 |
| Enrolled or assistant nurse, median | S$4,904 | S$4,835 | S$69 |
At the median the extras are worth about 1.2 percent of basic pay. Nursing in this dataset is close to a straight salary rather than an overtime-driven job.
Enrolled and assistant nurses
| Percentile | Gross monthly wage | Basic monthly wage |
|---|---|---|
| 25th | S$3,344 | S$3,326 |
| 50th | S$4,904 | S$4,835 |
| 75th | S$6,705 | S$6,670 |
The gap between a registered nurse median and an enrolled nurse median is S$372 a month. At the 25th percentile the gap is wider, S$917, and at the 75th it narrows to S$130.
The limits of this dataset
Two of them matter before anyone plans around these numbers.
They cover residents only. MOM states the data pertain to full-time resident employees, that is citizens and permanent residents. A Filipino nurse arriving on a pass is not in this population, and MOM does not publish a separate figure for one.
They are 2024. MOM’s statistics site states that the 2025 table, with a June 2025 reference period, was released on 30 June 2026. The open dataset read for this page still carried 2024 when it was checked, so 2024 is what this page reports.
Nursing in Singapore is regulated by the Singapore Nursing Board. The wage dataset says nothing about registration, passes or immigration, and neither does this page.
The Philippine side
| Charge | Amount |
|---|---|
| DMW processing, direct hire | USD 100, in peso equivalent |
| DMW processing, manual OEC through a landbased agency | ₱200.00 |
| OWWA membership | USD 25 |
| Pag-IBIG | ₱600.00 |
Charging above the allowable schedule is illegal recruitment under RA 10022, carrying 12 years and 1 day to 20 years and a fine of ₱1,000,000.00 to ₱2,000,000.00.
The recruitment agencies guide covers the licence directory and the OEC guide covers the exit certificate.
