SSS Pension Calculator
SSS
Project an SSS monthly pension from an average monthly salary credit and credited years of service, using the published SSS formula.
This calculator does not carry current agency interest or dividend rates. You enter the rate, so a result is only as current as the figure you typed.
It is an estimate for planning, not an official quotation, and SSS's own computation is what governs. Confirm the figures before you commit to anything.

Where these figures come from
About these figures: the numbers below come from SSS's official published sources: Social Security System | Retirement Benefit (https://www.sss.gov.ph/retirement-benefit/, retrieved 2026-08-31); Social Security System | SSS Contribution Table (https://www.sss.gov.ph/sss-contribution-table/, retrieved 2026-08-31). Agencies change fees and rates without notice, so confirm with SSS before you rely on them. Last verified: 2026-08-31.
What this calculator does
You give it two things: your Average Monthly Salary Credit and your Credited Years of Service. It runs all three SSS pension formulas and returns the highest result, which is what SSS says the monthly pension is.
Unlike the loan calculators on this site, this one carries no rate field. The formula constants are set by SSS, not by market rates, and they are the same figures recorded in this site’s facts store and verified against the SSS retirement benefit page.
The three formulas it runs
SSS publishes these, and states the pension is the highest result of the three.
| # | Formula |
|---|---|
| 1 | ₱300 + (20% × AMSC) + (2% × AMSC) × (CYS − 10) |
| 2 | 40% × AMSC |
| 3 | Minimum pension: ₱1,200 with at least 10 CYS, or ₱2,400 with at least 20 CYS |
A monthly pension also requires at least 120 monthly contributions before the semester of retirement. Below 120 the benefit is a lump sum equal to total contributions paid plus interest earned, and this calculator does not project that. It refuses to compute below 10 credited years for the same reason.
What to put in the salary credit box
The realistic range is not the same as the contribution range. Under SSS Circular 2024-006, effective January 2025, the contribution rate is 15% and the Monthly Salary Credit runs from ₱5,000.00 to ₱35,000.00. But SSS states that Regular SS and EC benefits are computed on MSC from ₱5,000.00 up to ₱20,000.00, with the portion from ₱20,000.00 up to ₱35,000.00 going to the Mandatory Provident Fund instead.
| Monthly Salary Credit | Counts toward this formula | |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum MSC | ₱5,000.00 | Yes |
| Benefit computation ceiling | ₱20,000.00 | Yes |
| Maximum MSC | ₱35,000.00 | No, the excess goes to the MPF |
So an AMSC above ₱20,000 will still compute here, but it does not describe the Regular SS pension SSS would actually pay. Enter ₱20,000 to see the ceiling of this formula.
What the calculator returns, and what it leaves out
It returns the monthly pension and which of the three formulas won. It does not add:
- the ₱1,000 additional benefit all retirement pensioners receive on top of the monthly pension, effective 1 January 2017
- the 13th month pension, paid every December since 1988
- the dependent’s pension, 10% of the monthly pension or ₱250 whichever is higher, for up to 5 dependent children
Add those yourself. The formula result is the base, not the payment.

Reading the table
The 10 and 15 CYS columns are identical. At those service lengths the 40% formula wins at every salary credit, and 40% of AMSC does not change with years of service. Five more years of contributions between year 10 and year 15 add nothing to the pension. That is not a rounding artefact, it is what the formula does.
The first extra peso arrives at 20 credited years. From there formula 1 takes over, and every additional year adds 2% of AMSC. Five more years therefore adds 10% of AMSC: ₱1,000 at a ₱10,000 AMSC, ₱2,000 at ₱20,000.
The minimum pension almost never wins. In this whole table it wins in exactly one cell, ₱5,000 AMSC at 20 CYS, where ₱2,400 beats formula 1’s ₱2,300 and formula 2’s ₱2,000.
| AMSC | CYS | Formula 1 | Formula 2 | Minimum | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₱5,000 | 10 | ₱1,300 | ₱2,000 | ₱1,200 | ₱2,000 |
| ₱5,000 | 20 | ₱2,300 | ₱2,000 | ₱2,400 | ₱2,400 |
| ₱5,000 | 30 | ₱3,300 | ₱2,000 | ₱2,400 | ₱3,300 |
| ₱10,000 | 20 | ₱4,300 | ₱4,000 | ₱2,400 | ₱4,300 |
| ₱20,000 | 10 | ₱4,300 | ₱8,000 | ₱1,200 | ₱8,000 |
| ₱20,000 | 40 | ₱16,300 | ₱8,000 | ₱2,400 | ₱16,300 |
With the ₱1,000 benefit added
Since the additional benefit is a flat ₱1,000, it matters most to the smallest pensions. At 30 credited years:
| AMSC | Pension | With ₱1,000 | Increase |
|---|---|---|---|
| ₱5,000 | ₱3,300 | ₱4,300 | 30.3% |
| ₱10,000 | ₱6,300 | ₱7,300 | 15.9% |
| ₱15,000 | ₱9,300 | ₱10,300 | 10.8% |
| ₱20,000 | ₱12,300 | ₱13,300 | 8.1% |
The limits of this projection
- AMSC is not your current salary credit. SSS computes it from your own contribution record, and this page cannot know it. Entering your latest MSC will overstate the result if your earlier contributions were lower.
- CYS is not simply years of membership. SSS credits service from its own records, and this page takes whatever number you type.
- The output is an estimate for planning, not an SSS quotation. SSS’s own computation is what governs.
The formula is official, Band B, read from the SSS retirement benefit page. The projections are this site’s arithmetic on it.
