Home Development Mutual Fund · membership

Where these figures come from
About these figures: the numbers below come from Pag-IBIG's official published sources: Pag-IBIG Fund | Membership (https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/member_membership.html, retrieved 2026-08-31); Pag-IBIG Fund | Payment Channels, Regular Savings (https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/member_paymentsregularsavings.html, retrieved 2026-08-31); Pag-IBIG Fund | Multi-Purpose Loan (https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/member_cashloans_mpl.html, retrieved 2026-08-31); Pag-IBIG Fund | Home Improvement Loan (https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/HomeImprovementLoan.html, retrieved 2026-08-31); Pag-IBIG Fund | Claims, Regular Savings (https://www.pagibigfund.gov.ph/member_claims_regularsavings.html, retrieved 2026-08-31). Agencies change fees and rates without notice, so confirm with Pag-IBIG before you rely on them. Last verified: 2026-08-31.
Your Pag-IBIG MID Number is the permanent identifier on your membership record. It is not what you get when you first register. That is an RTN, and the gap between the two is 2 to 3 working days.
RTN and MID are not the same number
| Registration Tracking Number (RTN) | Membership ID Number (MID) | |
|---|---|---|
| When you get it | Immediately on submitting your online registration | Verifiable 2 to 3 working days after the RTN |
| What it is for | Tracking the registration and verifying the MID | Permanently identifying your Pag-IBIG record |
| How long it lasts | Until you verify the MID | Permanent |
People stall here because the RTN looks like a member number and behaves like one for a couple of days. It is not one. Until the MID is verified, there is no permanent record to pay into.
Verifying your MID Number
Pag-IBIG publishes three steps plus a prompt.
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| 1 | 2 to 3 working days after receiving your RTN, go to Virtual Pag-IBIG |
| 2 | Click Be A Member, then select Verify MID Number |
| 3 | Enter your details, including your RTN, last name, and date of birth, then click Submit |
| Last | You now have your permanent Pag-IBIG MID Number |
If you have not registered yet, the Pag-IBIG registration guide covers the 5 steps that produce the RTN in the first place, including Pag-IBIG’s own warning to match your details exactly to your birth certificate.
Three ways to retrieve a forgotten MID Number
Pag-IBIG publishes all three, and they differ in what they ask of you rather than in what they deliver.
| Route | First step Pag-IBIG publishes | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Official Facebook page | Visit the official Pag-IBIG Fund Facebook Page | A Facebook account |
| Contact Center | Send an email to contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph requesting retrieval of your Pag-IBIG MID Number | An email address |
| Any branch | Visit any Pag-IBIG branch and bring one valid ID for verification | One valid ID, in person |
Pag-IBIG does not publish a turnaround time for any of the three, so this guide does not state one. The branch route is the only one with a stated document requirement.
Where the MID Number is actually used
| Where | What Pag-IBIG says |
|---|---|
| Paying Regular Savings over the counter | “Always have your MID for swift transactions” |
| Topping up savings via Virtual Pag-IBIG | Have your Pag-IBIG MID Number ready |
| Over-the-counter partners | ECPay, Bayad Center, SM Business Center, M Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier, Landbank, Metrobank, AUB |
| Digital channels | Virtual Pag-IBIG, GCash, Maya |
At the mandatory contribution of ₱400 a month for an employed member, that is a transaction you will be making repeatedly, which is the practical reason to have the number stored somewhere you can reach.
MID Number against Loyalty Card Plus
These are commonly confused and they are different things.
| MID Number | Loyalty Card Plus | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Your account identifier | A physical card |
| Cost | No fee published | ₱125, paid at a branch |
| How you get it | Verified online after registration | Applied for at a branch, issued the same day |
| What it does | Identifies your record for savings, loans and claims | Carries partner discounts, and serves as a cash card for loan proceeds |
Every member has a MID Number. Only members who apply and pay hold the card. The Loyalty Card Plus guide covers the ₱125 fee, the 5 issuance steps and why it matters for online loan applications.
What a verified MID Number unlocks
Nothing on this list is available against an RTN. All of it runs against the permanent record the MID identifies, which is why the 2 to 3 working days is worth waiting out rather than working around.
| Programme | What Pag-IBIG requires | The published figure |
|---|---|---|
| Regular Savings dividends | An active record | 6.62% declared for 2025, 6.60% for 2024, 6.55% for 2023 |
| Multi-Purpose Loan | 12 monthly savings, 1 in the last 6 months | 1.4583% per month, up to 90% of savings, over 12, 24 or 36 months |
| Calamity Loan | 12 monthly savings, 1 in the last 6 months, plus a declaration | 5.95% per year, within 90 days of the declaration |
| Home Improvement Loan | 12 monthly savings, 1 in the last 6 months, plus a titled property | Up to ₱300,000 over 5 years, 3% for the first 10,000 borrowers |
| Regular Savings maturity claim | 240 monthly savings | Optional withdrawal at 15 years on 180 continuous savings |
| Retirement claim | Reaching retirement age | 60 years old optional, 65 years old and above compulsory |
Twelve monthly savings at the mandatory ₱400 a month is ₱4,800 of contributions, and 90% of that is ₱4,320. That is the first month your MID Number is worth anything at a loan counter.
If you have two records
Duplicate Pag-IBIG records split your savings across two balances, which matters because the cash loans lend up to 90% of a single Regular Savings balance. Pag-IBIG merges them on request.
| # | What to bring to any branch |
|---|---|
| 1 | Accomplished Request for Consolidation/Merging of Member’s Records (RCMMR) |
| 2 | One valid ID |
| 3 | One photocopy of your SSS employment history |
Corrections to the record itself, rather than a merge, go through the Member’s Change of Information Form at a branch. Pag-IBIG lists eight categories covered by it, including correction of name, correction of birth date, and correction of place of birth, mother’s maiden name or sex.
What this page does not cover
Pag-IBIG does not publish, on the membership page, the format or length of the MID Number, a retrieval turnaround for any of the three routes, whether the MID can be retrieved through Virtual Pag-IBIG itself, or a processing time for a record merge. None of those are stated here. Pag-IBIG’s published contact points are 8-724-4244, or (02)87-244244, and contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between an RTN and a MID Number?
- The Registration Tracking Number is the temporary reference Pag-IBIG issues the moment you submit an online registration. The Membership ID Number is your permanent Pag-IBIG number, and it becomes verifiable 2 to 3 working days after the RTN.
- How do I verify my MID Number?
- 2 to 3 working days after receiving your RTN, go to Virtual Pag-IBIG, click Be A Member, select Verify MID Number, and enter your RTN, last name and date of birth. Pag-IBIG's step ends by telling you that you now have your permanent MID Number.
- I forgot my MID Number. How do I get it back?
- Pag-IBIG publishes three routes: through its official Pag-IBIG Fund Facebook page, by emailing contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph to request retrieval, or at any Pag-IBIG branch bringing one valid ID for verification.
- Is the MID Number the same as my Loyalty Card number?
- No. The Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus is a separate physical card costing ₱125 at a branch. Your MID Number is the account identifier and exists whether or not you hold the card.
- Where do I actually need the MID Number?
- Pag-IBIG asks for it when you pay Regular Savings over the counter and advises having it ready for a faster transaction, and when you top up your savings directly through Virtual Pag-IBIG. Loan applications and claims run against the same record.
- Can I have more than one MID Number?
- You should not. If you end up with duplicate records, Pag-IBIG merges them through a Request for Consolidation/Merging of Member's Records, submitted at a branch with one valid ID and a photocopy of your SSS employment history.
- How long does retrieval take?
- Pag-IBIG does not publish a turnaround for any of the three retrieval routes, so this guide does not state one. The only published timing on the membership page is the 2 to 3 working days between the RTN and the MID Number.
- What if my details are wrong on the record?
- Corrections go through the Member's Change of Information Form at a branch, with supporting documents. Pag-IBIG lists eight categories, including correction of name and correction of birth date.
