Philippine Consulate Milan: Fees, Hours and Address
Department of Foreign Affairs · consular
Quick answer
The Philippine Consulate General in Milan is at Viale Stelvio 71 and Via Bernina 18, open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. A passport costs €60.00, a lost ePassport €150.00, most notarials €25.00 and dual citizenship €50.00 on the day of the Oath-Taking.
Milan prices almost its entire counter at a single figure. €25.00 covers notarials, certificates, driver’s licence services, NBI applications, every civil-registry affidavit and death certifications alike. The exceptions are worth knowing, because they are where the money actually is.
Where and when
| Detail | |
|---|---|
| Address | Viale Stelvio 71 and Via Bernina 18, Milan |
| Monday to Friday | 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. |
| Telephone line answered | 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. |
| Main number | +39.02.6682.5232 |
| Assistance to Nationals, OFW concerns | +39.37.5657.2333 |
| Closed on | Philippine and Italian holidays |
The double holiday calendar is the trap. A post in a country that shares neither set of dates closes on one list; Milan closes on two, so a working Italian weekday can still be a closed Philippine holiday.
Getting there, in the Consulate’s own words: Bus 90, 91 or 92 to Fermata Via Bernina; Tram 2 to Fermata Via Bernina; Tram 4 to Fermata Via Stelvio Via Farrini.
Passport fees
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| New or renewed ePassport | €60.00 |
| Lost ePassport | €150.00 |
| Lost Machine Readable Passport or Machine Readable Ready Passport | €90.00 |
| Affidavit accompanying a lost-passport application | €25.00 |
Losing an ePassport costs €175.00 once the €150.00 replacement and the €25.00 affidavit are added, against €60.00 for an ordinary renewal. That is 2.92 times the routine fee. Losing the older machine readable passport is cheaper at €115.00 all in.
One release rule applies to minors. The Consulate states that passports of applicants below 18 years old can only be claimed by the parents if married, and that where the parents are not married only the mother can release the minor’s passport.
The requirement checklists behind each passport route are set out in the passport renewal in Italy guide.
Notarial, civil registry and certification fees
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Notarial services | €25.00 |
| Express processing, on top of a notarial | €10.00 |
| Certificates and driver’s licence services | €25.00 |
| Report of Birth | €25.00 |
| Affidavit of Delayed Registration | €25.00 |
| Affidavit of Legitimation | €25.00 |
| Affidavit of Acknowledgment of Paternity | €25.00 |
| Affidavit to Use the Surname of the Father | €25.00 |
| Certificate of Registration for AAP and AUSF | €25.00 |
| Sworn Attestation of the mother | €25.00 |
| Expedite Fee on a Report of Birth, optional | €10.00 |
| NBI clearance application | €25.00 |
| Special Power of Attorney for NBI, where applicable | €25.00 |
| Certification on the death of a Filipino national | €25.00 |
The €25.00 flat rate is what makes a Report of Birth expensive in the awkward cases rather than the simple one. A straightforward report is €25.00. A delayed registration for a child whose father must acknowledge paternity and whose surname must be changed runs the Report of Birth, the Affidavit of Delayed Registration, the AAP, the AUSF, the Certificate of Registration and the Sworn Attestation together, which is six charges at €25.00, or €150.00, before the optional €10.00 expedite fee.
The Philippine-side certificate that follows is a separate matter, covered in the PSA birth certificate guide.
Marriage and dual citizenship
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Solemnization of Marriage | €60.00 |
| Affidavit of Application for Marriage License, each | €25.00 |
| Affidavit of Parental Consent or Advice, each | €25.00 |
| Nulla Osta per Matrimonio | €25.00 |
| Dual citizenship, payable on the day of the Oath-Taking | €50.00 |
Two age bands govern the marriage paperwork. Applicants aged 18 to 21 years need an Affidavit of Parental Consent executed by both parents, and applicants aged 22 to 25 years need an Affidavit of Parental Advice, with the parents appearing in person in both bands. Since each affidavit is €25.00 each and both parents execute one, that is €50.00 of consent paperwork on top of the licence affidavits.
Dual citizenship at €50.00 is the one fee the Consulate explicitly times to the Oath-Taking rather than to the application. What the process itself involves is covered in the dual citizenship guide, and NBI clearance from outside the Philippines in the NBI clearance abroad guide.
What this page does not cover
Milan publishes its fees per service page rather than as a single consolidated schedule, and it publishes no processing times for any of them, so nothing on this page states how long a passport, a Report of Birth or a notarial takes. The only speed signal the Consulate gives is the price of skipping the queue: €10.00 for express notarial processing and €10.00 to expedite a Report of Birth. The Italian-language pages carry the same figures written as € 25,00 and € 60,00, and no fee differs between the two language versions.
