MARINA charges ₱1,000.00 for a seaman’s book, whether it is new or a renewal, and ₱1,800.00 if it has to be processed while you are onboard.
Three names for the same shelf
MARINA’s own charter uses three abbreviations, and its checklists treat them together.

On a ₱1,000.00 SRB, card payment costs ₱53.00 in fees against ₱50.00 for the other three, so cash, e-money and online banking are marginally cheaper.
The ₱1,800.00 onboard rate is ₱800.00 more than the shore rate, which is the price of not being in the country when your book expires.

These are issued under RA 10635 and its Revised IRR, strengthened by RA 12021, and attest that the training, competency, medical and seagoing service requirements of the STCW Convention of 1978 have been met. The STCW guide and the COP guide cover them.

The card fee is 1.8% plus ₱35.00, so it scales with the amount: ₱53.00 on ₱1,000.00 but ₱67.40 on ₱1,800.00. The flat ₱50.00 channels are cheaper on both, and the gap widens as the amount rises.

A Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats additionally requires approved seagoing service of not less than 6 months, which is a schedule constraint rather than a cost.
