Passing the board is not the end of it. PRC requires registration and oathtaking before anyone may practise, and both cost money and time.

Oathtaking is mandatory
PRC’s position is unambiguous: the taking of the oath is a requirement prior to the practice of the profession.
It describes the oath as a formal act of subscribing to a pledge to support and obey the Philippine Constitution, laws and regulations; to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards of the practice; and to perform the duties and responsibilities incumbent upon a professional in the service of the public and the profession.

Special cases: a conditioned examination is ₱450.00, Dental Technician and Hygienist ₱1,000.00, Ocular Pharmacology ₱1,500.00 to sit and ₱1,200.00 to register, and accreditation for a Medical Representative or Real Estate Salesperson ₱450.00.

A conditioned examination is ₱450.00 rather than the full ₱900.00, which is the one place PRC prices a partial attempt differently.
What you get, and where it is accepted
The card issued after registration is the Professional Identification Card, which PRC also issues as an e-PIC. It counts as identity beyond PRC itself:
- National Police Clearance, PRC License is 1 of 26 accepted IDs, and only 1 is needed for a ₱150.00 clearance
- PNP firearms licensing, PRC ID is on the accepted government ID list
