PRC renewal has two variables most people get wrong: the fee depends on whether your profession required a baccalaureate degree, and the deadline depends on your birth month.

Three years costs exactly three times one year. ₱150.00 × 3 = ₱450.00, and ₱140.00 × 3 = ₱420.00. There is no discount for committing longer, only fewer trips through the portal, and fewer chances to miss the birth-month deadline below.
The birth month surcharge
This is the rule that costs people money, and it is not a shared calendar date.

At ₱30.00 on a ₱450.00 three-year renewal the surcharge is about 7%, and on a ₱150.00 single year it is 20%. It is small in absolute terms and entirely avoidable, which is exactly why it is worth knowing.
Renewing, and who else can do it
PRC directs renewal to its online portal. If you cannot file yourself:

If you are a dual citizen
PRC asks for the original and a photocopy of any one of these, presented at the Licensure and Registration Division of a Regional Office:
- Oath of Allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines
- A current and valid Philippine Passport
- An Identification Certificate recognising you as a Filipino citizen
