Philippine Embassy Tel Aviv: Fees in Dollars and Shekels
Department of Foreign Affairs · consular
Quick answer
The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv quotes most fees in both currencies: $25.00 or NIS100.00 for a notarial, $150.00 or NIS600.00 to replace a lost passport, and $10.00 or NIS40.00 to expedite. The shekel figure is the dollar rate converted at NIS 4.00.
Every figure on this page is from official published documents: Philippine Embassy Tel Aviv and Philippine Consulate General Honolulu.

Tel Aviv is the most useful post in the network for understanding how Philippine consular fees actually work, because it prints both currencies on the same line and says outright which one is the original.
The dollar is the fee, the shekel is the conversion
| Service | Dollars | Shekels | Implied rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Notarial, per document | $25.00 | NIS100.00 | 4.00 |
| Expedite, per document | $10.00 | NIS40.00 | 4.00 |
| Lost passport, amount to be paid | $150.00 | NIS600.00 | 4.00 |
| Notarized Affidavit of Loss | $25.00 | NIS100.00 | 4.00 |
| A further listed service | $40.00 | NIS160.00 | 4.00 |
| Its expedite fee | $25.00 | NIS100.00 | 4.00 |
Every pair resolves to exactly 4.00. And on the services where the Embassy gives no shekel figure at all, it explains why in its own words: the fee is $30 for a travel document or $25.00 for a Report of Birth, with the shekel amount being the equivalent based on the current Embassy exchange rate.
That is the mechanism the rest of the network runs on, stated plainly by one post. The base schedule in dollars is set out in the Philippine Consulate Honolulu guide, where the same $25.00 notarial, $150.00 lost e-passport, $50.00 dual citizenship and $10.00 expedite all appear.
Passport fees
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Lost passport, amount to be paid | NIS600.00 or USD150.00 |
| Notarized Affidavit of Loss | NIS100.00 or USD25.00 |
| Travel document | $30, NIS equivalent at current Embassy rates |
| Notarial affidavit accompanying a travel document | additional $25 |
A lost passport comes to NIS700.00 or USD175.00 once the affidavit is added. The Embassy applies the same figures to adult and minor renewal applications, which several other posts split.
Notarial and civil registry fees
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Notarial, per document | $25.00 or NIS100.00 |
| Expedite, per document | $10.00 or NIS40.00 |
| Report of Birth | $25.00, or the NIS equivalent |
| Each affidavit with a Report of Birth | $25.00, or the NIS equivalent |
| Dual citizenship, principal | US$ 50.00 |
| Dual citizenship, derivative | US$ 25.00 |
The expedite fee is 40% of the notarial fee, the same proportion Kuwait, Sydney, Canberra and Kuala Lumpur all charge in their own currencies. Reacquiring citizenship is covered in the dual citizenship guide.
Marriage fees, quoted in shekels only
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Fee per document | NIS 100.00 |
| Total on that route | NIS 300.00 |
| Solemnization fee | NIS 240.00 |
| Marriage certificate | NIS 100.00 |
| Copy of a report of marriage | NIS 10.00 |
| Total on the marriage route | NIS 440.00 |
The two totals are checkable against their parts. NIS 300.00 is three documents at NIS 100.00. NIS 440.00 is the NIS 240.00 solemnization plus the NIS 100.00 certificate plus a further NIS 100.00 document.
Converted at the Embassy’s own 4.00, the NIS 240.00 solemnization is $60.00, which is the same base figure Rome and Milan both publish in euro for solemnising a marriage. The NIS 10.00 copy of a report of marriage is $2.50, and has no equivalent on any other post’s schedule read for this site.
Registering the Philippine-side record is covered in the PSA marriage certificate guide, and the welfare membership many Filipino workers in Israel hold in the OWWA membership guide.
What this page does not cover
The Embassy publishes no street address, telephone number or office hours on the consular pages read for this guide, so none appears above. It publishes no processing times for any service beyond the existence of the expedite fee, and no visa fees. The 4.00 conversion is derived from the pairs the Embassy itself prints; it is not a rate the Embassy states, and its own wording says the shekel amount follows the current Embassy exchange rate, so it can move.
Frequently asked questions
- How much is a notarial at the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv?
- $25.00 per document or NIS100.00, with an additional expedite fee of $10.00 per document or NIS40.00. The Embassy prints both currencies on the same line.
- What does replacing a lost passport cost?
- NIS600.00 or USD150.00 for the passport itself, plus a notarized Affidavit of Loss at NIS100.00 or USD25.00. The same figures apply to adult and minor renewal applications alike, so a lost passport comes to NIS700.00 or USD175.00.
- Which currency do I actually pay in?
- The Embassy treats the dollar as the base and the shekel as a conversion. Several of its pages say so directly, quoting a fee in dollars and adding that the shekel amount is the equivalent based on the current Embassy exchange rate.
- What is the exchange rate the Embassy uses?
- Where it prints both currencies, the ratio is a flat NIS 4.00 to the dollar. NIS100.00 for $25.00, NIS600.00 for $150.00, NIS40.00 for $10.00 and NIS160.00 for $40.00 all resolve to exactly 4.00.

- What does getting married through the Embassy cost?
- Marriage fees are quoted in shekels only. The solemnization fee is NIS 240.00, a marriage certificate NIS 100.00, and a copy of a report of marriage NIS 10.00. The Embassy gives a total fee of NIS 440.00 on that route and NIS 300.00 on another where the charge is NIS 100.00 per document.
- How much is dual citizenship?
- US$ 50.00 and US$ 25.00 appear on the Embassy's dual citizenship page, which are the same base figures Honolulu publishes for a principal applicant and a derivative.
- Is a travel document quoted in shekels?
- No. The Embassy gives $30 for a travel document and says the NIS amount is the equivalent based on current Embassy rates, plus an additional $25 for the notarial affidavit.
