Muscat runs the Gulf week and prices in a currency worth more than the dollar, so its fees look far smaller than other posts’ while being exactly the same money.

| Office hours | 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM |

A 6-hour day, and the week runs Sunday to Thursday rather than Monday to Friday, as it does at the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait. Friday and Saturday are the weekend.
Notarial and civil registry fees
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Notarial, certification and authentication | OMR 10 |
| Report of marriage, cash only | OMR 10 |
OMR 10 is the flat rate. The cash-only marking on the report of marriage is the Embassy’s own, and it applies to that fee specifically rather than to the counter generally.
Marriage at the Embassy
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Application for a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage | OMR 10 |
| Affidavit of a contracting party | OMR 10 |
| Joint affidavit of witnesses | OMR 10 |
| Joint affidavit of parental consent or advice, where applicable | OMR 10 |
| Solemnization fee, cash only | OMR 24 |
A marriage with no parental affidavit needed runs three documents at OMR 10 plus the OMR 24 solemnization, or OMR 54. Add the parental affidavit and it is OMR 64.
Two age bands decide whether that last document applies: parental consent where a contracting party is 18 to 21 years old, and parental advice where a contracting party is 22 to 25. Above 25 neither is required.
The supporting copies are specific. The affidavit of a contracting party needs the passport data page and residence card; the joint affidavit of witnesses needs the witnesses’ passport data pages and labor cards, which means your witnesses must be documented workers in Oman.
Registering the Philippine-side record afterwards is covered in the PSA marriage certificate guide.

Nine lines, one divisor. Because the rial is stronger than the dollar the divisor is below 1, which is why Muscat’s figures look cheap next to Hanoi’s VND 1,680,000 for the same $60.00. The base schedule is published unconverted at Honolulu.
What this page does not cover
Muscat publishes no passport fee on the consular pages read for this guide, and no processing times for any service. Its contact page renders telephone and email behind JavaScript-obfuscated fields that did not resolve, so no phone number appears above. The welfare membership many Filipino workers in Oman also hold is covered in the OWWA membership guide.
Frequently asked questions
- Where is the Philippine Embassy in Muscat and when is it open?
- Bldg. No. 4067, Way No. 3050, Plot No. 813, Sarooj, Shatti Al Qurum, Muscat. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday, which is the Gulf working week rather than Monday to Friday.
- What do notarial and civil registry services cost?
- OMR 10 covers notarial, certification and authentication, and the same OMR 10 covers a report of marriage. The Embassy marks the report of marriage fee as cash only.
- What does getting married through the Embassy cost?
- The solemnization fee is OMR 24, cash only. Before that come four documents at OMR 10 each: the application for a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage, an affidavit of the contracting party, a joint affidavit of witnesses, and where applicable a joint affidavit of parental consent or advice.
- When is parental consent needed?
- The Embassy splits it by age. A joint affidavit of parental consent applies where a contracting party is 18 to 21 years old, and a joint affidavit of parental advice where a contracting party is 22 to 25 years old. Each is OMR 10.
- What supporting copies do the marriage affidavits need?
- The affidavit of a contracting party needs copies of the passport data page and residence card. The joint affidavit of witnesses needs copies of the witnesses' passport data pages and labor cards.
- How much is a visitor visa?
- OMR 12, OMR 24 and OMR 36 on one band, and OMR 16, OMR 32 and OMR 48 on another, with OMR 60 also listed. At the Embassy's conversion those are the 30, 60, 90, 40, 80, 120 and 150 dollar base rates.
- Can I pay by card?
- Not for the marriage services. The Embassy marks both the report of marriage fee and the solemnization fee as cash only. It does not publish a payment method for its other services.
- Why are the rial figures so small?
- Because the rial is worth more than the dollar. Every fee is the US dollar base rate multiplied by 0.4, so the 25 dollar notarial is OMR 10 and the 150 dollar rate is OMR 60.
