Where these figures come from

About these figures: the numbers below come from PNP's official published sources: PNP NPCS | How to Apply for a National Police Clearance (https://pnpclearance.ph/how_to_apply_v2.pdf, retrieved 2026-09-01); PNP NPCS | Terms and Conditions (https://pnpclearance.ph/register, retrieved 2026-09-01); Philippine National Police | National Police Clearance (https://pnp.gov.ph/national-police-clearance/, retrieved 2026-09-01). Agencies change fees and rates without notice, so confirm with PNP before you rely on them. Last verified: 2026-09-01.

The appointment is the part of a National Police Clearance that actually constrains you. The ₱150.00 fee is fixed and the form is short, but two published rules turn a missed date into a repeat payment.

Setting the appointment

Step What you do
1 Register at pnpclearance.ph, or log in to an existing account
2 Click Edit Profile, complete your personal data, and save
3 Click the Clearance Application button
4 Select the purpose, then set a suitable date and a preferred police station
5 Click the Landbank button, click next, and save the appointment
6 An appointment reference number is generated

Keep that reference number. Payment is settled against it, and the Payment Confirmation Slip or electronic Official Receipt is your proof.

The two deadlines

Rule What PNP states Consequence
Pay 2 banking days before the appointment Failure to pay 2 banking days before the scheduled appointment date The transaction is cancelled
Appear on the date Cancelling, or failing to visit the issuing police station on the appointment date for processing or claiming The payment is forfeited

Banking days, not calendar days. An appointment on a Monday with a public holiday on the Friday before pushes your real payment deadline earlier than most people expect.

What happens at the station

On the appointment date you proceed to the police station you selected to have your photo, electronic signature and biometrics taken. You present one valid ID.

PNP does not publish how long that visit takes, or a release time from appointment to printed clearance, so no figure is stated here. The main clearance guide covers the fee and the full four-step process.

If your details are wrong

This is the reason to check the profile before saving rather than after. PNP states it will not re-print a clearance where the inaccurate data was entered by the applicant during account creation or application. The remedy is to correct the account and re-apply, which means a new appointment, a new ₱150.00 payment, and biometrics again.

Certain fields cannot be edited at all once saved. PNP names them: name, email address and birthdate. It also states that the police station has no access or authority to edit your account information, so an error cannot be fixed at the counter.

Renewal skips the appointment entirely

If you completed a clearance in person within the last 3 years, PNP states the clearance may be renewed without appearance, using the same account as the previous application.

Appearance route Non-appearance route
Appointment needed Yes No
Police station visit Yes None
Extra uploads - 2x2 picture with white background, selfie holding a valid government ID
Where you get it Printed at the station Downloaded from the NPC account profile

The renewal guide covers that route and the 6 month validity behind it.

What it costs to book

Item Published figure
Clearance fee ₱150.00
Convenience fee Varies by payment mode; PNP publishes no amount
Rebooking after a missed appointment The original payment is forfeited, so ₱150.00 again

For comparison, an NBI clearance is ₱130.00 plus a ₱30.00 e-payment convenience fee, ₱160.00 in total, and delivery adds ₱200.00 within NCR or ₱350.00 outside.

Booking around the deadline that actually matters

Most people book a clearance because something else is due. Those downstream clocks are published, and they decide how early the appointment needs to be.

What needs the clearance Its own published clock
The clearance itself Valid 6 months from issue
Non-appearance renewal window 3 years from the last appearance
Your payment Due 2 banking days before the appointment
LTOPF renewal, PNP FEO Processing takes 7 to 15 working days
LTOPF validity, chosen at application 5 years or 10 years
LESP application, PNP SOSIA Published total of 1 hour and 20 minutes per application

An LTOPF renewal is the tightest of these: the licence needs a National Police Clearance in hand, and the licence itself then takes 7 to 15 working days on top of whatever the clearance took.

What the whole stack costs

If the clearance is one line on a longer checklist, these are the published figures from the other agencies covered on this site.

Document Published fee
National Police Clearance ₱150.00 plus a convenience fee
NBI clearance ₱130.00 plus ₱30.00, so ₱160.00
NBI clearance, delivered ₱200.00 in NCR, ₱350.00 outside
PSA birth certificate, viewable online ₱130.00
PSA CENOMAR, viewable online ₱185.00
Neuro-psychiatric test, PNP rate ₱900.00, or ₱720.00 for a senior
Drug test, PNP rate ₱300.00, or ₱270.00 for a senior
Security guard licence, LESP ₱300.00 plus a ₱200.00 ID card, ₱500.00 total
Government security guard licence ₱15.00 plus ₱200.00, ₱215.00 total
Gun safety seminar validation ₱100.00
DI/PNP clearance ₱80.00
PNP cards: firearms, LTOPF, PTCFOR, LESPO ₱200.00

The PNP rates in that table are from the Citizen’s Charter 2025, 2nd Edition, and the FEO schedule within it is effective 16 March 2024.

What this page does not cover

PNP does not publish, on the pages and documents read for this guide, a list of participating police stations, appointment slot availability, a rescheduling procedure, a refund process, how long the station visit takes, or a release time. None of those are stated here.

The main clearance guide is the starting point. The requirements guide covers the ID list.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set a police clearance appointment?
Register or log in at pnpclearance.ph, edit and save your profile, click the Clearance Application button, select the purpose, then set a date and preferred police station. Click the Landbank button, click next, and save the appointment. A reference number is generated.
How far ahead do I need to pay?
At least 2 banking days before the scheduled appointment date. PNP states that failure to pay 2 banking days before the appointment means cancellation of your transaction.
What if I miss my appointment?
The payment is forfeited. PNP states that if you cancel your transaction, or fail to visit the issuing police station on the appointment date for either processing or claiming, your payment will be forfeited.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
PNP publishes the process as appointment-based: registration, profile and appointment setting, payment, then processing at the station. No walk-in route is described on the pages read for this guide, so this page does not state one exists.
Which police station do I choose?
You select a preferred police station during appointment setting. PNP does not publish a list of participating stations on the pages read for this guide, and the station list appears inside the booking system itself.
What do I bring on the day?
One valid ID from the published list of 26, unexpired, original and not a photocopy, with a clear photo and signature and your full name. Your photo, electronic signature and biometrics are taken at the station.
Do I need an appointment to renew?
Not if you qualify for non-appearance renewal. PNP states the clearance may be renewed without appearance for 3 years from the last appearance, in which case you do not appear at a police station at all.
