Supporting documents under Section 6
Section 6 of RA 11983 applies to renewals as well as new applications: supporting documents are required in addition to the basic ones to prove identity, citizenship and the absence of travel restrictions. Which ones depends on the case, and DFA lists them on its renewal requirements page.

- The same as a new passport: ₱950.00 regular and ₱1,200.00 expedite for applications in the Philippines. A lost or mutilated ePassport carries an additional ₱350.00 penalty.
- What do I bring?

- Can someone else claim it for me?
- Yes. Releasing requires the original DFA-issued receipt, an original acceptable ID and the old passport. An immediate family member may claim on your behalf; someone outside that circle carries additional requirements. A lost receipt needs an original notarised Affidavit of Lost Receipt.
- What if I lost my old passport?
- You may file at any Consular Office, Foreign Service Post or Temporary Offsite Passport Services site. DFA requires a Police Report in English, a notarised Affidavit of Loss and the other passport application documents. A lost valid passport and a lost expired passport are handled as separate cases.
