The five service groups

# Group What it covers
1 Be a Member Registration
2 Pay Online Contributions, MP2 savings and loan payments
3 Apply for and Manage Loans Applications and status

5 Claim Pag-IBIG Savings MP2 and Regular Savings claims

Group 3 is the one this page is about; group 4 is where the numbers behind a loan decision live.

What each loan costs

Loan Rate Term Amount
Multi-Purpose Loan 1.4583% a month 12, 24 or 36 months Up to 90% of Regular Savings
Calamity Loan 5.95% a year 12, 24 or 36 months Up to 90% of Regular Savings
Housing Loan Covered in its own guide Covered in its own guide Covered in its own guide
Home Improvement Loan Covered in its own guide Covered in its own guide Covered in its own guide

The Multi-Purpose Loan may be renewed after 4 amortisations. The Calamity Loan carries a 3-month grace period, runs only where a state of calamity has been declared, and has a 90-day filing window.

The MPL guide, the Calamity Loan guide, the housing loan guide and the home improvement loan guide cover each in full, and the MPL calculator and the housing loan calculator run the amortisation.

What decides the amount

Both cash loans are computed from the same base, so the record is the answer.

Member type Monthly Regular Savings A year Over 5 years
Employed, both shares ₱400 ₱4,800 ₱24,000
Self-employed ₱400 ₱4,800 ₱24,000
OFW without a Philippine employer ₱200 ₱2,400 ₱12,000
Under ₱10,000 monthly earnings 2% of actual earnings Varies Varies

At 90%, a member with ₱24,000 of Regular Savings has about ₱21,600 of loanable value, and one with ₱12,000 about ₱10,800. Those are arithmetic on Pag-IBIG’s published percentage, not loan offers.

The Regular Savings guide and the contribution table cover the base.

What this page does not cover

Pag-IBIG does not publish, on the pages read for this guide, a processing time for a loan application, a status-update interval, the meaning of individual status labels inside the portal, the release schedule for approved proceeds, or a hotline for loan status specifically. None of those are stated here.

The Multi-Purpose Loan guide and the Calamity Loan guide cover the two cash loans. The pay contributions guide covers paying them back.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I check my Pag-IBIG loan status?
Virtual Pag-IBIG at pagibigfundservices.com/virtualpagibig. Apply for and Manage Loans is one of its five published service groups, alongside becoming a member, paying online, viewing records and claiming savings. Pag-IBIG describes it as Lingkod Pag-IBIG 24/7.
Can I pay a loan through the same portal?
Yes. Pay Online is a separate service group, and Pag-IBIG's payments page lists the Multi-Purpose Loan, the housing loan and the housing loan processing fee among the six things you can pay for.
What does a Multi-Purpose Loan cost while I repay it?
1.4583% a month, over a term of 12, 24 or 36 months, for up to 90% of your Regular Savings. Renewal is allowed after 4 amortisations.
What does a Calamity Loan cost?
5.95% a year, over 12, 24 or 36 months, for up to 90% of Regular Savings, with a 3-month grace period. It runs only where a state of calamity has been declared, within a 90-day filing window.
How much can I borrow?
Both the Multi-Purpose Loan and the Calamity Loan are computed at up to 90% of your Pag-IBIG Regular Savings, so the answer depends on your contribution record rather than a fixed ceiling.
Can I check my contribution record too?
Yes. View Records is one of the five Virtual Pag-IBIG service groups, and it is the record both cash loans are computed from.
What if I cannot get into the portal?
The hotline is 8-724-4244, spelled 8-Pag-IBIG, with contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph for email, and the branch locator at pagibigfund.gov.ph/branches.html finds an office within 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 kilometres.
Does Pag-IBIG publish a processing time?
Not on the pages read for this guide. No processing time or status-update interval is stated here, because Pag-IBIG does not publish one on those pages.
