Where these figures come from
About these figures: the numbers below come from DFA's official published sources: Philippine Embassy London | Renewal of ePassport (Adult) (https://londonpe.dfa.gov.ph/consular-matters/passport/apply-or-renew/renewal-of-epassport-adult, retrieved 2026-09-01). Agencies change fees and rates without notice, so confirm with DFA before you rely on them. Last verified: 2026-09-01.
The UK is the largest single market for this question anywhere in the world, and the London process is unusual in one important way: there is no appointment.
The fees
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Renewal of ePassport, adult | £55.00 |
| Affidavit of Delayed Renewal of Passport | £23.00 |
The affidavit applies where the passport has been expired for more than 2 years. Payment is card or contactless only. The Embassy says so explicitly, so cash is not a plan.
Walk in, do not book
| Detail | |
|---|---|
| How to apply | Walk-in |
| Days | Monday to Friday, except holidays |
| Hours | 9:30am to 4:30pm |
| Appointment | None described for this service |
This is the opposite of most posts. Canberra opens slots monthly and requires a Gmail or Yahoo address; Dubai does not accept walk-ins at all. London takes you as you arrive.
The five steps
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | Download and fill out the Passport Application Form, print 1 copy |
| 2 | Prepare your documents, original plus 1 photocopy of each |
| 3 | Submit walk-in, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm |
| 4 | Pay the fee, card or contactless only |
| 5 | Photo, fingerprints and signature captured at the Embassy |
What to bring
| Document | Notes |
|---|---|
| Current Philippine ePassport data page | Original plus 1 photocopy |
| Affidavit of Delayed Renewal of Passport | Only if expired more than 2 years |
| RA 9225 Identification Certificate, or Oath of Allegiance, or Order of Approval | Only if you reacquired or retained Filipino citizenship |
| Prepaid mailing envelope | Optional, if you want it posted back |
The Embassy has no photocopier. That single line is the most common reason a walk-in becomes two trips.
The old-passport trap
If you hold a machine-readable maroon, machine-readable ready green, or any older passport, your application is filed as a renewal, but the documents you must submit are those for a NEW passport, not a renewal.
People read “renewal” and bring renewal paperwork. The Embassy states the requirement twice on the same page, which suggests it happens often.
PSA documents
Printed copies of PSA e-certificates: marriage, report of marriage, report of death, may be accepted instead of the original on security paper. If you do not have them, the Embassy points to psahelpline.ph or psaserbilis.com.ph.
The PSA birth certificate guide covers the ₱130.00 viewable online copy and its 60 day validity, and the marriage certificate guide the equivalent for a married name.
Getting it posted back
One prepaid mailing envelope, labelled with:
- the applicant’s name
- the UK address including post code
- a tracking number
Buy it from your nearest Post Office. The Embassy does not supply one.

How London compares with the other posts on this site
The fee is in a different currency at every post, but the rules differ more than the money does, and the rules are what cost you a second trip.
| Post | Appointment | Payment | Photocopier |
|---|---|---|---|
| London | No appointment, walk in 9:30am to 4:30pm | Card or contactless only | None |
| Canberra | Slots open monthly, first come first served, Gmail or Yahoo address required | Cash, postal money order, bank cheque, credit card | Not stated |
| Dubai | Required; walk-ins not accepted | Cash, debit and credit cards | Not stated |
| Hong Kong | See the post’s own rules | - | - |
| Singapore | See the post’s own rules | - | - |
London is the only one of these that will see you without a booking, and the only one that tells you outright it cannot copy your documents.
The Philippine-side paperwork, priced
Everything you may be asked to produce that comes from a Philippine agency has a published peso figure. These are the ones that show up most often on a passport file.

| PSA marriage certificate, viewable online | ₱130.00 | Valid 60 days |
| PSA CENOMAR | ₱185.00 | Valid 60 days |
| PSA death certificate | ₱130.00 | Valid 60 days |
| NBI clearance, collected | ₱160.00 all-in | - |
| NBI clearance, delivered in NCR | ₱200.00 | 5 working days |
| NBI clearance, delivered outside NCR | ₱350.00 | 7 to 10 working days |
| National Police Clearance | ₱150.00 | Valid 6 months |
| Police clearance renewal without appearing | ₱150.00 | Within 3 years of the last appearance |
| Postal ID, regular | ₱550.00 | 24 days, 1 hour and 37 minutes |
| PRC licence renewal | ₱450.00 | Per 3 years |
A PSA document ordered for a London appointment lapses after 60 days, so order it close to the trip rather than months ahead.

The Embassy does not publish, on the page read for this guide, a processing time from application to release, the requirements for a new passport as distinct from a renewal, minor applications, lost or damaged passport procedures, name-change routes, or the arrangements for residents of the Republic of Ireland. None of those are stated here.
